For accountants
An accountant who takes every walk-in ends up underwater every April and undercharging by August. The site is the filter. It should attract the small business owner with three years of receipts in a box and quietly redirect the personal-tax shopper looking for the lowest price.
Where these sites lose customers
Every accountant lists tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory. None of those words help a prospective client decide if you are the right fit. A short 'who we work with' section that names the revenue range, the industry types, and the engagement style books the right clients and screens out the wrong ones.
Accountants who refuse to list any price on the site end up on the phone for forty-five minutes with a client whose budget is half the minimum engagement. A simple 'engagements start at X per month' line on the services page is enough to filter.
Clients want to know you are a real CPA in good standing. A plain text page that names the CPA-Canada licence number, the year of qualification, and the firm's insurance carrier reads as competence. A footer disclaimer in six-point grey reads as evasion.
Under the hood
The mechanics that decide whether a site earns calls or just sits there.
01Top of the map
‘Roofer near me’ wins your next customer. We build to rank in the local map pack.
78%of local-service searches happen on a phone.
02On the phone first
Most find you on a phone. The whole site has to feel right at arm’s length.
03Loads before they leave
Half of mobile visitors leave a slow site before it loads.

04Yours to keep
No retainers, no system you can’t log into. When we’re done, you have everything.
How we’d approach a rebuild
An accountant rebuild leads with a 'who we work with' section, publishes engagement starting prices, and builds out one page per recurring service (monthly bookkeeping, year-end tax, payroll, CFO advisory). The CPA-Canada licence and insurance details sit on a dedicated trust page, not in the footer.
Note
Every rebuild starts with a free written audit. We send back a plain-English breakdown of what is costing you calls today, what we would change in the rebuild, and a fixed price. No deck, no sales call.

If your business has a presence in Quebec, your website needs a real French version, not a Google Translate toggle. Here is what the language rules actually ask for, what counts as compliant, and how a French-first build changes the work.
Free written audit. No call required, no commitment, no upsell at the end.
